In the past few weeks I've been living with some database's stuff . It's a huge topic how to do even a little thing more professionally. That's why didn't paint for a while, didn't sculpt for a while, ... didn't do something which should be more interesting for a while. Hopefully it won't last long.

SOLVED ? NOT SOLVED ?
Could we treat each others a little bit better ?

We say we are scared by failure, but what frightens us more is the possiblility of success.

The result following a movie tutorial of Houdini. It doesn't look great but lots of variation can be started from this.

The tutorial can be downloaded at http://doodelides.free.fr.

It's been crazy in the past few weeks, but I know I can do more now.

The benefit of working in a company is learning something you unintended to learn very quickly, while learning something you really love to a lot slower.

Encouraging words posted in a forum discussing Houdini's stuff ...

The guy sitting behind me just enlightened me. He was watching over my shoulder as I tried out some stuff in Houdini. Out of nowhere he says, "Dude, I hate Houdini."

I ask, "Why's that?"

He says, "Because it takes you minutes what should take 2 weeks. It makes things too easy. You shouldnt have been able to do that so fast..."
There are always better ways of doing something.

Just read another comic book by Benjamin, a great Chinese comiker yesterday. It reminds me again what arts should be and could be.

To HKPC students:
Q1) How to blow an object away by wind gradually ?
Q2) How to make a fire burning along a rope ?

No idea yet how to do in maya. I'll keep thinking about. Or plz tell me if you've already known.

Found on the web ...

"FOOTPRINTS"... One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the past scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life... This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set ot footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Finally I squeezed a few hours tidying up my harddisk and my pile of CDs, removing those outdated and useless. By incident I re-discovered the meaningful article I read in a forum long time ago, talking about the wisdom of asking. It's quite long but be patient. It worths.

Another test with Houdini. It takes only minutes to construct once you understand the logic behind.
